Elementary Russian in 20 lessons for English speakers. Lesson 1.3

In this lesson you'll learn how to pronounce the most difficult Russian vowels and consonants: Я, Е, Ё, Ю, Ы and Ж, Ш, Щ, Ц, Ч. In addition, we'll see how to pronounce and use the letters Й (short I), Ь (soft sign) and Ъ (hard sign). We'll also learn some more basic words containing all these vowels and consonants.
In the following lesson we'll start using some basic grammar. However, it's very important to learn the alphabet well and not to confuse the vowels and consonants that we're considering in this class.
