Jamia Milia Clashes: SC Refuses To Intervene In Alleged Violence, Slams Students| Mathrubhumi News

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to intervene in the plea demanding a high-level probe into the violent clashes between Delhi police and students of Jamia Milia Islamia University which took place during the anti-CAA protests on Sunday. CJI SA Bobde directed the petitioners to approach the High Court with their pleas. The top court slammed the students in connection with the violence and asked the how many buses they torched. If people vandalize public property, they will be arrested, the court added. A case will be registered if one takes the law into their hands. The court cannot make judgments on the basis of media reports, CJI said.
