Today I would like to share with you the very common phrasal verbs used in English in the daily communication as well as in the professional setting.
Those phrasal verbs are:
Call off means to cancel.
Back up means (1) to copy a file to a safe place, (2) to support someone
Lay off means to terminate or to stop someone from work due to the lake of work or job to do.
Hand in mean to give
Put off means to delay or to postpone.
Fill in for means to replace, or to work instead of someone when he/she is not there.
Knock off means to stop working (can be at the end of the time, or be for the end of the set time)
Go over means to review.
Run out of means exhaust the supply.
Take over means to take control over something.
Plug in means to insert into the port or the hold.
Take a break means take a small break or a break from work or study.
Take leave means to take days off, to take holiday or to take a vacation.
Make an appointment means to plan to meet someone by informing and agreeing before hand.
