Ten years after his tragic death, we remember Robert Enke. The Hannover 96 and Germany goalkeeper lost his fight against depression but will always remain in our hearts as one of the Bundesliga’s greatest heroes. Together with the Deutsche Fußball Liga, Deutscher Fußball-Bund and Hannover 96, his wife Theresa started The Robert Enke Foundation to support projects, initiatives and institutions that educate about children’s heart diseases and depression, and serve to research or provide treatment.
