Harris introduces bill for all-day schools that serve low-income families Sen. Kamala Harris, who is running for president, introduced a bill in the U.S. Senate that would align school schedules with parents’ workday. The bill would transform elementary schools serving a high number of low-income families into 500 Family Friendly Schools.
