Guest house near Scottish airport up for sale with price-tag of more than £1.75m A guest house near Edinburgh Airport has been put up for sale with a price-tag of more than £1.75 million.

The Kellerstain Stables property, two miles from the airport and just outside Edinburgh city centre, has been brought to market by business property adviser Christie & Co on behalf of owner Alexander Aikman.

Mr Aikman highlighted the guest house’s growth, on the back of the strength of Edinburgh’s tourism sector.

He said: “Kellerstain Stables has been run as a family business, and as such we have brought Kellerstain up to the highest standards, offering our guests the same level of luxury we would expect in our own home. The property offers a fantastic opportunity to grow, an already well-established business and brand.”

Mr Aikman added: “We have experienced year-on-year growth, as the Edinburgh tourist industry continues to thrive. Leaving aside the many business attributes which Kellerstain Stables offers, I would hope it can be described as a truly beautiful family home located in a peaceful and serene location.”

Stuart Drysdale, director at Christie & Co’s Edinburgh office, said: “Kellerstain Stables presents an excellent opportunity for an individual, couple or family to purchase a luxury fully-fitted and well-maintained property and business that can provide an excellent level of income as a lifestyle business.”
