You Probably Never Realized This about TV Shows in Germany!! When I tell Germans that I watch American TV shows dubbed into German, the response I usually get is like "WHAT??" "WHY??" "GERMAN DUBBING IS HORRIBLE!" But I don't think it is! German dubbing is often really great! And I think it helps my German, so I often like watching American TV shows dubbed into German. Shows like Bones, Elementary, Gilmore Girls, The Big Bang Theory. Sometimes just for fun I will watch an American TV show, dubbed into German, with the original English subtitles turned on. Then I can see exactly when a character says something different in German than what the character originally said in the English version of the show!
