Wishing is fanciful, wishy-washy and unreal; it is a children’s game and has no place in the mindset of a person who is serious about changing their situations. Wanting is experiencing the absence of something, so to say that we want something affirms lack and is better avoided. The voice speaks and the body hears…and even though it is meant ironically or in good humour, we are better advised not to use words that actually refer to something that we choose not to experience. Choosing is a creative act, it registers our characteristics and engages the will so that intention to achieve is harnessed.
Moving from wishing to wanting to choosing is a process that, in the 7 Words System, is described within the meaning of the word No, whose keywords are: Boundaries, Identity, Choice and Truth.
