Many people seem to think that self identified heterosexual men, secretly cheating on their wives, girlfriends with other men (and even boys) in secret or private is a new phenomenon BUT I am here to say that it is not! The term 'dl' or 'downlow' is relatively new but I've seen, observed (via the gift of sight/discernment) ;and have had experiences with said types going back as far as my pre-pubescent years! There was no term or definition to describe or characterize such men because in truth, they were invisible to the general population... However, it was made very clear to me that this was something that one did not talk about because either you will not be believed or you will be intimidated into silence... However, the taboo nature of this subject matter did not stop me from warning anyone of this under-belly secret of society when I came into my own... Yet and still - if I tried to make it known to certain people (particularly females) that these men exists and they are far more than one can begin to imagine - most just didn't or couldn't or wouldn't accept it... The truth eventually came to the light, thanks to TV talk shows such as Oprah Winfrey, which gave a platform for more people to come out and tell of their stories with men on the downlow... In this video, I will lightly touch on my most recent attempt to bring awareness to a naïve female co-worker and then build up to describing 5 types of DL men (based on their actions, behavior) that I've mapped throughout my sojourn...
It's time to stop the denial and sweeping things that make us feel uncomfortable under a rug... Denial of this caliber will simply fester more dis-ease, chaos, confusion, pain and strife... It is through ULTRA-standing, compassion and healing that we finally move beyond these facades and charades! #menonthedownlow
