Workin on the Bottom Log. The start of the Log Cabin Porch.

I'm starting the front porch build on the cabin. I have to make the front side of the bottom log flat to bolt the ledger board on to . This is a simple process but time consuming. Using the Arbortech Turbo Plane on a 4" grinder, I removed the majority of the large swells and knots and finished up with a hand power plane. Nothing fancy but it makes a nice flat surface to bolt the ledger board.
