Question of the Day: If I find an expired trademark and also the company who was the owner is dissolved, can I use that trademark and register it? A trademark is abandoned if it has not been used in commerce in three continuous years. Before using a “dead” trademark, do your research to see if anyone is using it without registering it, because if they are, it may not be worth it to use and register it yourself.
