Globally, fishermen and dolphins compete for the same fish. But in Laguna, Brazil, they work together. The dolphins drive the fish toward the shore, and the fishermen know it’s time to toss out their nets when they see the dolphins jump. Wilson Francisco de Santos has been fishing with the mammals for 53 years. He knows the dolphins by name and thinks of them as friends, brothers even.
This Great Big Story was inspired by Genesis.
