Does Winter Clothing Limit Hollow Point Expansion? Hornady Critical Defense

Going by suggestions, I am testing if hollow point expansion is affected by heavy winter clothing, but rather than again using a traditional hollow point bullet I am using the Hornady Critical Defense ammunition with the FTX (Flex Tip Technology) bullet. I am testing the 9mm Critical Defense 115 gr through the Diamonback DB9 3" barrel and the .38 Special+P Critical Defense 110 gr through the S&W 342PD 1.875". Will the hollow point expansion be affected? Always appreciative of any channel help :)
