The Most Costly Habit - Not Learning from your mistakes - Jabu Zwane - Mindset Development There are many habits that cost us a lot in our lives, some of these habits happen daily. Habits ranging from procrastination, not planning ahead, looking for short cuts, and many more. Of all these habits, and all of them are costly, however this, there is one that is very easily the most costly of them all. This is responsible for our lack of growth, being repeat offenders and it is very strenuous on us and the people who are part of our lives. This habit is: Failure to Learn from our mistakes. Let's let that TRUTH sink in slowly and penetrate deep into the layers of our minds where it's needed...

Granted we are imperfect and limited in our being in so many respects. However, we have an ability that is very helpful to these fallible human traits, Learning. Learning from our mistakes, failures, shortcomings, missing the mark and all and all. Learning means that we equip ourselves with abilities, capacities and compentencies that make us more fit to handle ourselves better next time we find ourselves in similar high pressure situations. For as long we have full competency of our faculties of learning, we should be getting better at handling events or situations that occur regularly throughout our lives. Learning from our mistakes is the only redemptive antidote we have to balance the shortcomings in our finitude. There are many reasons why we don't learn, but for this article, I'll cover why should we learn from our mistakes.
