In Parliament on 4 November 2019, Minister for Manpower Josephine Teo shared on the pilot "Contribute-As-You-Earn" (CAYE) scheme for a small group of about 6,000 self-employed persons (SEPs) who provide services directly to the Government and public sector agencies. As a service buyer, the Government can then help SEPs directly transmit their contributions to their MediSave Account, and then pay the rest of the service fee to them.
