JACQUES BERTHIER is bekend om zijn prachtige liederen voor de Taizé-gemeenschap die nu over de hele wereld worden gezongen. Berthier werd voor het eerst gevraagd om muziek te componeren voor de Taizé-gemeenschap in 1955. In 1962 werd Berthier de organist van Saint-Ignace, de kerk van de jezuïeten in Parijs, Saint-Ignace, waar hij tot zijn dood werkte.

CONGREGATIONAL SINGING: You are the Image and the Hope / "Wer nur den lieben Gott läßt walten" (He who allows dear God to rule him) hymn by Georg Neumark, who also composed the melody for it 1641.
JACQUES BERTHIER is known for his beautiful songs for the Taizé community that are now being sung all over the world. Berthier was first asked to compose music for the Taizé community in 1955. In 1962, Berthier became the organist of Saint-Ignace, the church of the Jesuits in Paris, Saint-Ignace, where he worked until his death.

Bij de bouw van dit orgel voor de Noorderkerk in Groningenin in 1982 door orgelmakerij Reil zijn Cornet en orgelkas uit het Rohlfing-orgel (1923) hergebruikt. Ontwerp orgelkas: In eerste instantie: Drewes en Kuiler, architecten van Noorderkerk. Het Rugwerk is gemaakt door Gebr. Reil, orgelmakers, in de stijl van Drewes en Kuiler. Het huidige ontwerp is van Albert Reil. Dit orgel werd in 2008 over gebracht naar de Hervormde kerk te Wapenveld. Er werd een nieuw balkon gemaakt. De adviseur bij deze verhuizing was Dr. Jan Luth die ook adviseur was bij de nieuwbouw in 1982.

During the construction of this organ for the Noorderkerk in Groningen in 1982 by organ maker Reil, Cornet and organ case from the Rohlfing organ (1923) were reused. Design of organ case (solid oak): Drewes and Kuiler, architects of Noorderkerk. The Rugwerk is newly made by Reil, organ makers, in the style of Drewes and Kuiler. The drawing at the beginning of this video was made by Albert Reil.This organ was transferred to the Reformed Church in Wapenveld in 2008. A new balcony was made. The advisor for this move was Dr. Jan Luth who was also the organ expert for the newly made organ in 1982.
