The Porsche Taycan might have only just been released, but Porsche has just announced a new lower-cost sibling to the Taycan Turbo and Tacan Turbo S that will go on sale in January next year.

Called the Porsche Taycan 4S, it's a lot cheaper than either of its predecessors, and comes in at just over $105k.

That's a big improvement in affordability on other models, but it's not (as some might suggest) Porsche going after Tesla. It's Porsche doing what it always does -- make more affordable versions of its cars.

And that means we think an even MORE affordable Taycan is on the way down the road.
