With 650,000 house fires in the UK caused by unattended hair care appliances, the DAIO’s two “childproof” heatproof silicon cups prevent such appliances coming into contact with flammable materials. Audsley said that within three months of launch the product was featured on ITV’s 'This Morning'. But Peter was first to question the entrepreneur: “If you’ve been on This Morning, it’s going to sell as much as it’s going to sell isn’t it?”
