Saying he would never choose to fly privately if there were other options, he conceded there are "unique circumstances" which necessitate it in his case as he admitted "we can all do better" when it comes to sustainable travel.
Speaking of the “alarming” threats to the planet in a speech to launch a major global conservation project, he said “no-one is perfect” in their actions, but insisted it is better to “do something” to fight for a sustainable world than to be overwhelmed with the impossibility of “doing everything”.
