Positive thinking is just putting on rse colored glasses and pretending everything is perfect, but it does play a role in increasing your happiness, which releases neurotransmitters that help with pain management. It is a great way to deal with chronic pain.
1 Overgeneralization- Believing your one bad experience will be the only experience you will ever have!
2 Focusing on the negative- Only paying attention to the negative parts of an event or situation. Even if there are a bunch of positive things during that time period.
3 Comparing Worth- Thinking you are not as good, good enough, or have the same "worthiness" as someone else. Always thinking less of yourself because others have more or can do more.
4 Always Expecting Disaster- You are always expecting the worst-case outcome. Nothing can be good.
5 Predicting the Future- Come on are you a fortune-teller? Then why are you predicting how your future looks, and if you combine this one with any of the above, your future must look pretty grim.
BONUS: Reading Other's Minds
