Why truck drivers MUST get a flip phone | Trucking Answers

I have to now recommend that truck drivers get a flip phone or some other kind of old phone. Even another phone, maybe an old phone that you have. Put service on it for another number. Why? Do truck drivers need a flip phone? What is the best prepaid phone? Whatever works for you. You need this phone because companies now are using apps like Cell Control. I am sure there are others. This app can disable your phone while the truck is moving so you can't use it. Other apps of this type can tell what you were doing and when on your phone. Will the company guarantee to protect your personal data? These aren't just phones anymore, our lives are on there. Other times companies want to track the phone due to brokers or to keep track of the load. They can give you a phone for that. As a company driver, they will not have access to my phone. Plus, there is no reason they should get to use your phone for free. The thing is, some companies do pay a nominal amount a month. This does not give them access to your phone. A trucking company should not have access to your data, period. We need to stop allowing these companies to do this stuff! JUST SAY NO.
