Warrior Wasp Day 1 - Constructing a nest in Costa Rica with Day by Day coverage!

This is the first in a series of videos of Warrior Wasp (Synoeca septentrionalis) constructing a nest on our farm in central Costa Rica. This video was taken on the first day we noticed them with only the comb base being complete. Over the next several days they construct an amazing nest. These wasp have one of the most, if not the most, painful sting in the entire world. It is one of only three species to earn a 4 on the Schmidt sting pain index along with the tarantula hawk and bullet ant. Look for the subsequent days of construction on this YouTube channel.
