Is PERU UNABLE to Achieve DEVELOPMENT? - VisualPolitik EN In economic terms, for at least the last two decades, Peru has become a benchmark for Latin American countries.

With high economic growth rates and a high commercial openness, in the last few years, Peru has experienced a huge decrease in poverty and has seen its middle class grow throughout the country.

However, Peru’s economic model seems to be losing steam, and even after 25 years this model hasn’t allowed Peru to emulate the emerging Asian countries. There’s still a lot of poverty in the country and, despite all its growth, it still doesn’t have a productive, diversified and modern economy.
