How To Build a Portable Livestock Shelter for goats, cows, sheep, pigs or chickens

How To Build a Portable Livestock Shelter for goats, cows, sheep, pigs or chickens Learn how to build a portable livestock shelter in todays video.

If you need a portable shelter for livestock, one that you can move by hand, that will keep the animals dry when it rains and shaded in the midday sun, this shelter works great and is easy to build!

This shelter is built on 2 6x6 skids.

The 6x6 skids are attached together with metal pipe, you can use all thread pipe, we had our pipe custom made from a metal fabricator, but all thread would work good.

On top of the 6x6 we used 2 cattle panels, 16 FT long.

On top of the cattle panel we attached a 12 x 16 ft reflective tarp with zip ties.

Finally we attached a tow strap with 2 hook ends to pull the shelter with.

This shelter works for all livestock, sheep, goats, cows, pigs, etc. Some animals are harder on the tarp, so for those animals some plywood may be used to block the tarp sides.
