An Australian man has been shot and killed in a car-jacking on New Zealand's north island, where he was road tripping with his Canadian fiance. She escaped the gunman, running through remote and mountainous terrain to alert police the thief had driven off with her partner.
His body has been found, but tonight the killer is still on the run.
