Aliir Aliir shares his remarkable story | On The Mark

Sydney Swans defender Aliir Aliir is one of footy's great stories. Of Sudanese heritage, Aliir was born in a Kenyan refugee camp. To this day he has never been to South Sudan. When he was eight, he and his family flew to Australia to relocate despite the fact they had never seen a plane or knew what one was.

Now he is playing footy at the highest level, in a sport he never knew existed, a world away from the refugee camp that was his home.
