Parliament orders Judiciary to name staff who received 32 billion shillings The Chairperson of Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee Nandala Mafabi has instructed the Permanent Secretary to the Judiciary Expedito Kagole Kivumbi to furnish the Criminal Investigations Department with a list of staff members and their and Bank accounts as part of investigations into how 32 billion shillings was disbursed through private accounts.

This money was allegedly advanced on the staff personal bank accounts with the authorisation of the Permanent Secretary in the 2017/2018 financial year.

The committee is also investigating claims that the judiciary spent 400 million shillings on the rehabilitation of a flash toilet in the residence Chief Justice.
