Catch the newly overhauled / repainted HHP EMD WDG4 (4500 HP) High Horse Power Locomotive 12527 by GOC / GoldenRock Diesel shed in its new Green - Cream avtar on shunting duty. This is the first WDG4 to get a ALCO livery . The EMD (Electromotive Diesel ) Locomotives across the Indian Railways have a standard livery across all the Loco Sheds , the colors used are White-Blue for Passenger Class (as seen in the trail loco) and Cream-Turquoise for the Freight Class. These color schemes look pretty monotonous with more than a thousand of EMD's produced and running all across the network.
The Northeast Frontier Diesel Loco Shed Siliguri was the first shed to try out the Blue - Orange Color Scheme on few of their Passenger Class EMD WDP4 inspired by the Baaz Livery which was painted by Diesel Locomotive Workshop (DLW) at Varanasi on the one and only Fibre Glass cab WDP4 20012. (Note : Not all Locomotives are repainted in Orange- Blue)
Northern Railways Tughakabad / TKD Shed painted a few of their WDP4B EMD's to Red, the most famous one being WDP4B Prateek 40079.
South Western Railway Diesel Shed KJM / Krishnarajapuram has recently overhauled some of their WDP4 / WDG4 to a new Blue - White and cream livery. Hope all EMD holding sheds bring a distinct livery to their locomotives.
