Driver in fatal Marines motorcycle crash uninjured, not charged

Driver in fatal Marines motorcycle crash uninjured, not charged Police have ID’d the pickup driver who may have caused a horrific crash that killed seven bikers on their way to a Marines-related motorcycle meet in New Hampshire Friday night, revealing he walked away from the wreckage without injuries — or any charges.
The driver, identified as Volodoymyr Zhukovskyy, 23, is an employee of a Springfield, Mass. company called Westfield Transport, the Associated Press reported.
Zhukovskyy had been driving a 2016 Dodge 2500 pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer of the kind used to haul cars when he rammed into the bikers on a two-lane highway in rural Randolph at 6:30 p.m.
His truck was on fire when emergency crews arrived.
He survived without needing to be hospitalized and has not been charged, authorities said.
Officials have yet to release the names of the dead, or of the three riders who were injured but survived.
It’s unclear if Zhukovskyy is cooperating with officials as an investigation continued into Sunday, including by probers with the National Transportation Safety Board.
But officials were asking Saturday for anyone who saw the crash to come forward with video, photos, or witness accounts.
The crash involved members of Marine JarHeads MC, a club that includes Marines and their spouses.
