European starlings are often considered a nuisance. I love them. This year starlings made a nest in an unsafe location and when their fledglings left the nest they went straight to drowning in the duck pools and to being mouthed by cats. Two fledglings drowned and two ended up in the care of my sister and I for a few days until they could fly. Unfortunately, as you will learn in this video, one died.
