Elbrus and Kazbek for a few pennies - #1 The way to Elbrus (English subtitles)

In August 2018 we went to the south of Russia and the north of Georgia to climb two 5000-meter summits: Elbrus (5642m, the highest of Europe) and Kazbek (5033m). Additionally, we visited friends in Kakhetia and of course we made new friends along the road.
As usual, we tried to spend not more money than necessary.

In this episode we (finally!) present the first part of this trip: the journey from Warsaw to Terskol, almost the last village at the foot of Elbrus. We took the bus to Lviv, the train as far to the east of Ukraine as possible, then a van and again the bus almost to the Ukrainian-Russian border, and the rest we hitchhiked. The journey took 2 days and we spent around 44€ on it, but if we wouldn't have missed the train from Lviv, it would have been just 26€ per person.
