This is one of the last meals screech owlet #3 had before he fledged on 6-7-19. We were worried about this little owlet, and feared the worse for him. Judging by the difference in size and appearance , he was most likely one of the last eggs to hatch. We never saw him fledge but when we opened the box up today, he was gone. All that was left was lots,and lots of feathers. Jays, Mourning Doves, Cardinals, and a whole lot more we couldn't make out. We have empty nest syndrome right now but are thrilled we made it possible for these owls to successfully raise 3 owlets, and have all 3 fledge. Good luck, and happy hunting to all of them. I hope they decide the accommodations were to their liking, and return next year to add more screech owls into this world.
