By creating a stress/resistance to the muscles performed with the free weights (weighted bars, dumbbells or weight stacks) or by using weight machines, these exercises enable the muscles to be activated and get stronger.

Weight training uses a variety of specialized equipment to target specific muscle groups and types of movement. Effective Weight Training depends on a proper technique. You might learn weight training techniques by watching friends or others in the gym — but sometimes what you see may not be safe or truly effective. Incorrectly performing weight training techniques lead to strains, sprains, fractures or other painful injuries that hamper your workout efforts. And sometimes the injury can take longer time span to recover.
