চীন পুরাণ থেকে এদের নামকরণ করা হয়েছে। সাগরের অগভীর এলাকা যেখানে নানারকম শৈবালের জঙ্গল গড়ে ওঠে, সেখানে এদেরকে দেখতে পাওয়া যায়। ৫০ মিটারের বেশি গভীরে পাথর ও সাগরের তলদেশের ঘাসের ফাঁকে এরা বাস করে।
