NEET FAQ - Motion in Plane - 2 Dimension Motion - Kinematics - Frequently Asked MCQs

NEET FAQ - Motion in Plane - 2 Dimension Motion - Kinematics - Frequently Asked MCQs In this video, I am going to discuss frequently asked problem types in Motion in Plane topic.
Every Year NEET Question Paper has two to three questions from this topic. The difficulty level of Questions asked in this topic are easy to medium. The MCQ are generally simple numerical problems involving double substitution. After completing this video, you will know how you need to prepare this topic Motion in Plane from NEET Examination point of view.

Let's start with the type of questions frequently asked in this topic Motion in Plane, from the past 12 years NEET question papers.
After we discuss the question types, we will discuss one or two questions for each question type which came in previous neet exams.
Under motion in Plane topic, questions are mainly asked from these five concepts
The simplest questions are the ones involving vectors. You can expect problems using average velocity or relative velocity. There will be one question in neet 2019 paper which comes under projectile topic. The last important concept which is frequently asked in neet exam is circular motion.

The basic concepts in Motion is Plane or Motion in Two dimension is vectors. Without knowing vectors, it would be difficult to solve problems which comes under this topic. In the previous topic motion in straight line, the is only one dimension which is x. But in this topic, there are two dimensions x and y. To solve problems in this topic, it becomes easy when we consider this motion as a combination of two straight line motions along two mutually perpendicular axes x and y.

Vector has two components. Magnitude and direction. x direction is usually represented with i and y direction is represented with x. To represent 7 m in x direction and 10 metres in y direction, we simply write 7i +10j in vector form.

You need to know two formulas to solve problems under vector concept. The first one is triangular law of addition.
Look at the picture.. the resultant vector R can be found by finding square root of a square + b square + 2ab cos theta.

If you are asked to find the angle between 2 vectors , use the formula tan alpha = bsin theta / a+b sin theta
