Neha is charged Rs 2,500/- fine each time she feeds stray dogs On 14th April, 2019, Mumbai Mirror carried a story about animal-lover Narayani "Neha" Datwani, whom her housing society - Nisarg Heaven Cooperative Housing Society -- was charging a fine of a whopping Rs 2,500/- Per instance of dog-feeding. The society says this is as per a resolution passed by a Special General Body Meeting in 2018. Read the Mumbai Mirror story here:

At this rate, the society maintenance bill every month includes a monthly fine of a jaw-dropping Rs 75,000/- which makes the rest of her monthly bill look tiny by comparison. See the November 2018 bill:

In recent months, the society has stopped adding this amount to her maintenance bills, but it is counting interest @ 21% on an accumulated amount of around Rs 3.6 lakhs. See the society's maintenance bill for April 2019:

The same fine is also being added in the maintenance bill of other society members also, including a former secretary of the cooperative society. However, the dog-lovers are undaunted and continue feeding and nurturing their beloved wet-nosed friends.
